And I'd assumed Amur was a person. [She says after a moment of hesitation.] Either way, it seems likely that this Amur is behind some kind of organization. Someone high up enough and powerful enough that his or her name is enough on its own. [And she's willing to bet that the government knows exactly who Amur is, not that they're bound to found out anytime soon.

Lightning makes a frustrated sound of her own.]


Do you know if any of their other political ties are changed? Are they a different nation ... in spirit? [If they're aligned with the USSR, it could give Lightning the room for doubt she's practically been desperate for since she's turned up. The idea of nations fighting nations doesn't sit well with her, especially since there is a degree of fear factored into it. It reminds her much too much of Cocoon's sentiments toward Gran Pulse during the years following the War of Transgression.
